It’s great for city drivers wanting a truck that’s well suited for busy streets and trails off the beaten path. The package comes with off-road-tuned suspension, which helps optimize off-road performance and keep you in control.

The package also adds an electronic-locking rear differential as well as a useful off-road cluster screen that displays the yaw, pitch and roll. Ford Introduces FX4 Off-Road Package for the 2020 Ford Expedition

FX4 off-road package - L&L Motors - Roosevelt, UT

The 2020 Ford Expedition has the power and capability to handle adventures on and off the road. Nevertheless, to make the SUV even more adept at off-road paths, Ford is making the FX4 off-road package an option for the 2020 Expedition Limited.

The Expedition Limited FX4 off-road package adds 18-inch metallic gray-painted cast-aluminum rims and 32-inch all-terrain tires to the already impressive SUV. Premium off-road-tuned shocks and seven underbody skid plates, which include steel plates and a new sand shield, further help the Expedition Limited conquer different terrains.

The rugged SUV will be powered by the 3.5-liter EcoBoost® engine, which produces 375 horsepower. The engine pairs to a 10-speed automatic transmission and allows the SUV to tow up to 9,200 pounds when properly equipped.

In addition to having off-road capabilities, the Expedition Limited FX4 has a luxurious interior, complete with rich wood accents and premium leather-trimmed seating. Devin McParlane, Ford Expedition consumer marketing manager, said, “There’s a growing trend in people looking to enjoy rugged terrain without having to give up the refinement, comfort or convenience of getting there.”

We at L&L Motor are excited about this new package option for the 2020 Ford Expedition Limited. You can learn more about the package and the family-friendly features of the SUV when you stop by for a test drive.

2020 Ford Escape Is Best-Performing Version Ever

2020 Ford Escape

Last month, Ford announced that the new 2020 Ford Escape would be the best-performing Escape that the Blue Oval has ever produced.

For starters, the 1.5-liter EcoBoost, which will come standard on S, SE, and SEL models, will produce 180 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque and enable towing of up to 2,000 pounds. For the first time ever, this EcoBoost engine will feature cylinder deactivation for more efficient driving.

The other gas engine is the 2.0-liter EcoBoost, available on the Titanium, which will crank out 250 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque. This engine will also launch the EcoBoost from 0-60 mph in 10-percent less time than the outgoing 2.0-liter Escape engine and will enable towing up to 3,500 pounds.

The Escape became the world’s first hybrid SUV back in 2005. For 2020, Ford is offering two alternative-fuel powertrain options; the Ford Escape will be available as a hybrid or as a plug-in hybrid. No matter which powertrain the Escape is set up with, Ford estimates that the Escape will manage at least 400 miles between fill-ups. The standard 2020 Ford Escape hybrid with front-wheel drive should achieve a best-in-class EPA-estimated range — more than 550 miles on a single tank.
