Whether it’s the winter blues or just holiday indulgence, it can be difficult to stay as fit in the colder months as it can be in the summer. Luckily, we have a few ideas as to how to stay active this holiday season:
Get into snow sports
Living in Vernal gives us great access to awesome winter sports, like skiing, snowboarding, skating, and snowshoeing. Try one out this winter season.
Go for a walk
Winter walks can be beautiful and quite cozy when you bundle up appropriately. They’re also a great way to maintain heart health and they don’t require too much stamina. Just make sure the walkways aren’t icy before heading out.
Play active games
f you have kids at home, try playing hide-and-seek indoors or, better yet, get out the old Wii and play your favorite Wii sports.
Take a class
If working out at the gym by yourself just isn’t enticing to you, sign up for a class, like yoga or cycling. Better yet, skip the gym and sign up for a beginner’s dancing or karate class.
Build a snowman or go sledding
Outdoor activities don’t have to be strenuous. Just getting out of the house to make a snowman or go sledding with friends and family will brighten your spirits and boost your endorphins.
