Three Upcoming Fall Festivals near Vernal, Utah

Utah is an amazing place to live year-round, but the autumn brings us some of the most exciting events statewide. Vernal is uniquely located close to major centers of action, like Salt Lake City and Moab, but also plays host to its own unique events. Here are three can’t miss fall festivals near Vernal this year.

Utah State Fair in September

The Utah State Fair will be held in Salt Lake City from September 8 to 18. There is no shortage of things to do at the fair, including the rodeo, circus, excellent food, music, and more. You can order your tickets to specific concert events online here.

Pumpkin Chunkin’ Festival in October

What better way to get in the Halloween spirit than this classic event down in Moab, Utah? The annual pumpkin chunkin’ event will be held on October 26 at the Old Airport Runway. The event will include pie eating (as well as lots of other eating from a number of food vendors), wiener dog races, costume contests, kids’ activities, game booths, arts and crafts, and more.

Vernal Community Holly Days Festival in November

This annual event is free and family-friendly. This year marks the 15th annual festival. Come for the holiday spirit, including gingerbread house contests, a parade of lights, and more. The event will be held on November 23.

Ohio Corn Maze Inspired by All-New Ford F-150

The all-new Ford F-150 is inspiring people around the nation to go further—but it isn’t just appealing to those who have tons of gear to haul around or to our customers at L&L Motors.

Leaders Farm in Napoleon, Ohio has created a seven-acre corn maze in tribute to the Ford F-150—and when we say “tribute,” we don’t just mean that it wrote “sponsored by” on a sign next to the cornfield. No, the maze itself is shaped after the iconic pickup truck.

“We are a multi-generation Ford-driving family,” said Kristin Leaders of Leaders Farms. “My husband Brad was reading a magazine last winter and saw the new F-150 design and loved it. We thought it would really stand out as the feature of this year’s corn maze.”

One of Leaders Farm’s other attractions is Big Jack, a huge pumpkin cannon mounted to a Ford F-450 Super Duty truck. It can launch pumpkins nearly half a mile thanks to a compressed air tank that weighs 500 lbs. and develops 30 psi of pressure. Wow!
