Summer Festivals Vernal UT

Looking to have some fun in and around Vernal? From neighborhood markets and marathons to rodeo shows and educational expeditions, here are just a few of the fun summer events coming up in our local community.

Ashley Valley Farmer’s Market

At the Ashley Valley Farmer’s Market, you’ll find more than fresh, locally grown food. You’ll also find handmade soaps, artisan crafts, and plenty of live entertainment. The market runs on Saturdays, from July 6 to Sept. 28, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., on 225 East Main St.

Uintah Half Marathon

Get ready to run though Uintah County’s gorgeous red-rock landscape. This 13.1-mile downhill course cuts through the scenic Dry Fork Canyon. Even in the desert heat, you won’t go thirsty — the marathon offers aid stations every other mile. The race begins on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 7 a.m. in Vernal.

USTRC Dally for Dinosaurs

While the event might be called “Dally for Dinosaurs,” this rodeo puts bulls, broncs, and cowboys in the spotlight. This team roping championship features authentic Western thrills and plenty of fun for the whole family. Witness the action from Aug. 2-3 at the Uintah County Fairgrounds in Vernal.

Fossil Discovery Trail Hike

The Canyon Visitor Center in Dinosaur National Monument offers daily, guided hikes from May 24 to Sept. On these 1.2-mile educational walks, you’ll learn about the area’s fascinating fossils and scenic rock formations. Although the event doesn’t require registration, it’s a good idea to bring water, sunscreen, a hat, and a comfortable pair of shoes for the hike. The tour begins at 10 a.m. at the Quarry Exhibit Hall and ends at the Quarry Visitor Center.

Whether you’re looking for family fun or a memorable day out with your friends, you’ll find plenty to do in our neighborhood. Come join us — L&L Motor is proud to celebrate summer with the community of Vernal.
