Ford recognizes the importance of having a strong education. That is why the Ford Motor Company Fund recently awarded $400,000 in scholarships and grants to the recipients of the Ford Driving Dreams Grants.
These grants were awarded at the 88th Annual League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) Convention held in San Antonio, Texas. The funds will be distributed to 10 Councils and LULAC National Educational Service Centers that help students graduate from high school and then pursue higher education opportunities.
These centers are spread across the country from Hollister, California to Washington, DC. In addition, Council #44017 located in South Jordan, Utah will also receive funding.
“Ford Fund is very proud of its collaboration with LULAC. Together we provide invaluable resources to help the councils build a stronger and brighter future for thousands of students in their own communities,” said Joe Avila, manager, Ford Motor Company Fund. “Education has long been a priority for Ford and we remain committed to helping our young people advance in school and reach their academic dreams.”
Since its inception, the Ford Driving Dreams Grants have awarded more than $1.3 million to help students across the United States succeed.
Here at L&L Motor Co., we are proud to be part of a company that understands the value of a good support system and are pleased to see one of these grants going to serve a community here in Utah.
